Sunday
26th October 2008
Sunday 26th October 2008 will
see the fifth running of the Pickering & Moors 10K.
The route will be the same
as in previous years.
There will be
the chance to choose between a Fun Run for the youngsters,
and a 10k (not officially measured) for the more serious, experienced or adventurous.
The longer course will
take you through some of the best countryside that England has to offer and
should prove to be an enjoyable event for all standards.
Fun Run
The Fun Run is open to all 6 years old and
over, and will be run over approx. 1 mile. There will be a shorter race for the toddlers
open to those of 5 and under. Both courses will be fully supervised but
Parents/Carers will still be responsible for their children. On the day entries only.
10k
The 10K will be run over a course
consisting of public roads and public footpaths. This distance is
open to all persons of at least 17 years.
The event is being
organised by the governors of St. Joseph's School Pickering and all proceeds
will go towards specific projects to improve the school. Please click on the
school badge (race version) above if you wish to check-out the school
website, which has been developed by the older children in the school. All
entrants are encouraged to get sponsorship either for the school or their
preferred good cause. Please see 'Entry Forms' link above for postal and online entries.
